ROBERT YOUNG - PROFILE
Robert’s dual majors in both a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Art degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham were interrupted by the decision to serve in the United States Marine Corps. During this period, his service was not only recognized, but he also earned his Combat Ribbon where actions leading to this award also forged his foundation for the YFS Business Model & Mission. Statement. Upon graduation, the excitement of recruitment into the Financial Services/Investment field dulled until a chance meeting led to enrollment in the prestigious MetLife Qualified and Non-Qualified Plan program. Upon graduation, he attended the College for Financial Planning where he earned his Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) certification. Later, he earned his Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) certification from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. Both designations are registered with the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). The exclusiveness of this accomplishment is punctuated by a Letter of Recognition from Senator Lori Berman (Florida House of Representatives).
Robert lives in Tequesta, Florida, with his wife, Shelley, and together they enjoy shooting sporting clays, international travel into areas experiencing turmoil, and spending time with their “kids” – an Arabian mare (Dawn) and two whippets (Parker & Indigo).
